GREENGUARD Invites Parents to Participate in the First-Ever
‘Baby Star Search’ Facebook Photo Contest

Winning baby to be featured in prominent national parenting magazine

(Atlanta, GA)—Could your baby be the next face of the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, gracing the pages of a national parenting magazine? Now’s your chance to find out!

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute is calling all parents with babies one-year-old and younger to enter its first-ever Baby Star Search Photo Contest on Facebook.

It’s easy to participate: simply “like” the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute on Facebook. Then, upload a current photo of your baby to GREENGUARD’s Facebook page and submit your answer to the question, “What’s the single most important thing you do to keep your baby healthy in your home?”

Five finalists will be selected by early October and their photos will be featured on GREENGUARD’s Facebook page, along with a digital voting ballot. Then, it will be up to GREENGUARD’s Facebook fan base to vote for their favorite. Whichever baby earns the most votes on Facebook wins a spot in the limelight as the face of GREENGUARD’s next print advertisement! The advertisement will be featured in a 2012 issue of a prominent national parenting magazine.

“We really value our growing Facebook fan base, particularly the Moms and Dads out there, and we appreciate the degree to which social media allows us to engage with them on a daily basis,” says Susan Heil, director of marketing at the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute. “By launching our Baby Star Search photo contest, we can use Facebook’s interactivity as an educational platform on which to teach parents about the importance of healthy indoor environments. We’re encouraging real-life parents to share real-life tips with each other and learn from one another—all while giving one lucky baby some ‘star’ treatment. It’s going to be fun!”

The GREENGUARD Baby Star Search photo contest runs today through October 20, 2011. Please see complete contest rules, terms, and conditions on the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute’s Facebook page.
